95s have no crank sensor, but 96-97s that do have them don't use them for spark delivery (only misfire detection). All sensing needed for spark is done with the opti. It's really impossible to troubleshoot a car that is not in your possession. Everything would just be a guess.

95's don't have a crank position sensor, the later OBDII cars do. The ICM is located on the front of the drivers side head on a copmbination mount with the coil. Shoebox has an excellent site to use for locating and testing most functions of our cars. First the picture: http://shbox.com/1/coil_loc.jpg

And the website main page: http://shbox.com/page/index.html

To test the OPTI go to the main LT1 page and look at the 'stickies' at the top of the page. You'll see one outlining the method to figure out what's going on.

Before you get too far into this, have the computer scanned and write down every code. Come back with the codes and we'll help...the generic readings from the scanners usually don't apply to our cars. Again, shoebox has the answers...

Good Luck!
