the motor is a 95 out of an impalla in a 89 camaro. pcm was reprogramed by pcmforless; deleted egr, air pump, auto trans
today i left work, drove about 5 miles and it started running like crap until i gave it about 3/4 throttle. it does the same no mater what rpm i start giving it more gas.
It seems like when the computer is in openloop or P.E. mode it runs fine.
i unpluged the 02 sensors and drove it and it runs fine.

should i contact pcmforless or what?

ps tried to search.

 

How old are the o2 sensors? What brand are they? Are they heated or non heated o2 senors?

as far as i know they are stock heated sensors.i had a baby lt1 1 in the car befor and had no problem with sensors.iv'e had this motor in for about 3 weeks

 

well concidering your pcm runs off the o2 readings the minute it goes into closed loop, I would replace those o2 sensors to start off with .

I was able to get them for like 70 bucks off gmpartsdirect.com

Before you start replacing parts, check for sources of "false" O2 readings..... things like misfires, exhaust leaks before the sensors, leaking injectors, faulty wiring and interference from nearby high voltage wires can throw the sensor readings "off" to the extent the car runs poorly.

Do you have a scan log that we can look at?

i finally got time to fix this problem. it turned out to be a small exhaust leak before the o2 sensor.
