You are right.
I would like to know if the screws seemed loose.

Has fuel, pressure is perfect.
Has spark.
Has air.

Will not fire.

Coil/ICM good (assuming test ones were good. It does spark at the coil wire)
New opti.
Plugs/Wires brand new.
Will turn over just fine, no fire. I'm completely baffled at this point, and am open to ideas.

Re: Okay, I'm stumped (misfire)

this new opti you put in, was it fully assembled, or did you have to put the rotor in and the cap on? maybe the rotor screws are loose or one of them fell out. i had that happen and although my car still ran, it ran like **** as you can imagine.

also, does it run after you let the key come back from 'start' to 'on' or does it only fire while starting? if so your ignition switch might have crapped out.

Opti is brand new out of box... car will not fire at all. Ignition switch is fine.

it seems compression is the only thing left to check, are the plugs dry on the misfiring cylinder

Have you changed the opti since you posted about the 2 plugs not firing? I see where you tested spark at the coil but not the plugs. Also I see where you talk about fuel pressure but you make no mention of checking the injectors for power by BACK probing the connectors that I mentioned. Remember fuel pressure is only 1/2 the equation for getting fuel into the cylinder. I also don't see where you checked for injector pulses with a noid light. I also don't see where you scanned it for possible codes that won't light the SES.

Yes I changed the opti. I'm going to probe the injectors right now and test at the plugs and will get back to you.

I've been trying to obtain a scanner for two weeks. Its not as easy as it seems since I cant drive the car anywhere.

All injectors have +12v on the hot wire. I'm going to the store to buy a noid light and something to hook to the plug wires to check if theres spark on those too. Will keep posted.

Getting spark at the individual wires too. The store didnt have a noid light. The set of plugs I took out and replaced were completely fouled of gas and very wet. Shouldnt this mean the injectors were working?

Plug wires are brand new. I've tried three wires for the coil. They're all good.

Time to pull a valve cover and see if the rockers are moving. I'll put money on the chain being broke.
