OK to use gaskets that came with JET-HOTS?????

Just as it says...is it safe to use these or should I get different ones? Got any part numbers if I need new ones?

I been using them for awhile with no problems. If you get the copper ones make sure you dont get the D-port ones. They are too little and will get in the way of the header port causing a bottleneck.

I ordered a set of Fel-Pro 1406 gaskets and ARP 3/4" stainless header bolts to do mine.

well I used the ones supplied with the headers, since I am cheap and they have worked out very well fr me, its been over a year, Id say about 14 months and they still are fine, no signs of leaks. I of course have re-torqued those things down as tight as I could every so often. They came lose after two or three weeks, then a little less loose three or four weeks later, now they have remained tight since. Just make sure you go ahead and check them after a couple weeks, this should be done no matter what gasket you use, unless you go with locking bolts

dammit...I ordered the felpro gaskets designed for the LT1... the 1470... are they going to burnout? Maybe I should open up the ports a bit to match the headers? I just didn't understand the huge oval port necessity when the heads have D ports...
