Well my new gm 12 bolt is very quiet, i was just wondering if they stay that way, or do they get loud after few hard lunches and stay loud, but dont brake.
Thanks

How much did you pay for it? What kind of fabrication did you have to to to put it in?

That's the kind of problem, we all love to have
I think it could be a sign of a good installation, and it could yield some longevity. I know they're built for hard launches and stuff, but if you baby it, it'll become more reliable whenever you have to launch it hard.

i didnt have to febrcicate anything..had to get a different ujoint (napa #447 so i could bolt up my DS to the 1350 yoke) Also got the DS shortned 3/4 of a inch just to be on a safe side. Oh yeah, i also had to get creative with the back sway bar brackets as they are meant for a 2.5 inch tubing not for a 3inch. Thats about it. Also got the rear for $1900. It was used, but never actually used

So since it quiet right now, it shouldnt really get any louder after few trips to the track

I talked to my friend with a 5.0 he runs 12.00s on 1.6 60s on his stock 8.8 and his doesnt whinne at all. SO i hope my 2k rear end wont start makin noises after few trips to the track

Mine is still quiet, after I had the gears set up by a local guy. And I've launched it pretty hard, 1.91 60 with ET Streets, still spinning a little though, hope to get to 1.6 60ft). BTW I bought mine from a guy near you in Warner Robbins.
