Ok, I hear word of the Cloyes double roller but do I need a electric pump for it? Im basically looking for an alternative to the pricey LT4 ED timing set but if there is nothing out there better or just not worth doing to me, i'll get it. I don't want to switch to a eletric water pump, so are their any other timing sets I can use that can survive the CC306? Thanks.

Cloyes makes the LT-4 ED for GM.Get it from Symmett and save a bunch of money. If you are going to run the factory water pump don't get the one with the oversize crank gear.Get the one to GM spect.

odd ball question, but my buddy is thinkin of just buying a new stock timing chain for his heads/cam(306). I'm sure it will work, but how long do u think it will last. I told him to just get the LT4 deal now but I was curious.
