this is what it isn't..

not the IAC..TPS..plugs..wires..opti..ECM..coil..ignition module..it has fuel..when it starts it runs fine as ;long as you give it a little throttle..ideas??

will not idle for more than 30 seconds without giving it throttle. also is hard to start back..

You need a scanner to see what the IAC counts are. You say "not the IAC". Have you cleaned the passages?

cleaned the passages and a new IAC and TPS.I have a air foil on the car. I even removed it. Same deal...it only does it at idle..and runs fine under throttle. The fuel pump is a aftermarket one..walbro 255 ..been in there for about 2 years..

Should the IAC plunger be movable by hand?

Weak Alternator/Battery? Bad Vacuum line? I'm just throwing things out there.

My car won't run with the MAF disconnected, it'll crank over then kill itself.

Bad MAF throws an SES too I believe. At least it does on some Fords.

The pintle on a new one should be moveable (if carefully done). Manually moving the pintle on an old IAC is not recommended as you can more easily strip the gears.

Sounds like the car is getting too much un-meetered air, check your intake elbow for any rips/tears/holes.

Re: ok Idle issue..nothing will help..

How is it not a calibration problem? It might just need another 75rpm of idle speed. Unless it was happily idling until, say, last week. Then I don't know.

Re: ok Idle issue..nothing will help..

not a broken spring..car sounds and runs good under throttle. was idling fine..driving along..let off the throttle..wanted to die..give it some throttle ok..drove on..cruising speeds..fine..stopped in the driveway..let it idle..it died..did not want to start back..got it to start finally..will not idle more than a few seconds without throttle applyed...everything was ok...idle has been acting up a little..maybe a little ruff and maybe surging a few hundred rpms.but nothing major..now..won't idle at all. Nobody answered but could it be the MAP?
