Ok, i need some help....
This kid has no idea how to work on cars, and you're telling him to get headers? Nothing good can come from that.
Here's the best advice you will ever hear: Take your car to a shop and have all the regular maintenance stuff done, and just enjoy the car in it's STOCK form for awhile. Learn about working on cars, and stick around here and read as much as you can. Buy a service manual and read it like it's a novel, then when you have a little knowledge, then it's time to start modding.

i just finished my 5th mod. heads, cam, RRs, EWP... its all about taking your time and researching what you do beforehand.. and let me also agree with some others here and say that having experienced friends that can/will help out is a must.. even though i didnt get any help on my most recent modding endeavor, i still talked to them about it and did a lot of problem solving that way
thanks a 2nd time
ok, i really appreciate everyones help, and i would hope that i can keep coming here for help... I agree that finding fellow owners would help, but its kinda hard cause i dont know fo many.lol. but i went to a meeting up at a chik-fil-a a while back that was supposed to be for f-bodys and what not. Im in jacksonville for those that may be from around here. the meeting was filled with mustangs, chargers, and other cars, that wouldnt be much help to me to talk to the owners.lol. some other notes i figured id add. I have had the car since 3/31/07, driving it since 4/21/07. The first week i had it, i put new tie rod ends on it, my step-uncle is a great mechanic, and he checked the car over before i bought it. He said new tie rod ends would help. so i put new ones on... this was my first work on the car. a week later i hit a curb, going about 35, ruinned the whole front sub-frame. Payed 1500 to fix that. The next work i did on it.... was.... speakers and what not, gotta have the sound.... then just about a month ago, i blew the radiator, we changed that ourselves also. then i did a complete front brake job, we did that also, so i have a little bit of experience, nothing to brag about. But like you guys said, i researched all of it, and bought a Haynes manual. that helped with the radiator alot. but again, i want to say thanks, and in case some of you guys didnt fully comprehend, i HAVE put a K&N Cold Air Intake on my car. So.... If i could get a sturdy response, what should i do next, in about 3 weeks, ill have at least 300 to work with.... If all could possibly agree on somethin, or just give personal opinions, whichever works.

300 should just about get you that SLP loudmouth, and you will be very happy with that. especially with how easy install should be.
if you wanna find people in your area, keep in mind that most forums have regional sections

Those should help you out man.
If they don't, let me know. I know what it's like to be confused and wondering what I should do when...lol. We all were there on time or another. Soak up all the knowledge you can from your Uncle..even if it's on different models of cars. You'll notice how easily SOME of this will adapt to your application. One thing to keep in mind is where you want the car to end up as far as performance goes. If you know that one day you would like the car to run say...low 12's, then don't go out and buy something that you may have to rebuy down the road. I guess the main thing I'm talking about is the converter. Don't go get a 2800 Vig or Yank and end up needing a 3600. Do your research..ask all the questions you can and hook up with guys at the local track or around town.
