Ok, did a search, still confused...

in all the places i read... they said, to install a aftermarket tranny cooler, you disconnect both lines from the radiator and plug them into the tranny cooler.

but what if i want the fluid to go into the radiator ALONG with the cooler?

like i want it to go thru both..... how do i do that

Then instead of disconnecting both lines, disconnect only one, and put the cooler in line.

He means to disconnect one line, run that through the cooler and then out of the cooler back into the radiator.

ok.... do i have to use rubber hose then? to hook up the cooler into the radiator? what im saying is... how do i get the fixxed steel tube, on top of the radiator, into the tranny cooler all the way in front of the condenser....

Here, you might need to print this off and take it out there with you.

http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...77_41_full.jpg

First off, notice the two metal factory tranny cooler lines in the picture. The one on the bottom has a length of rubber hose crimped in. I left that one alone. The one on the top was connected to the hose that comes down from the top of the radiator. IE, the hose coming down from the top that is connected to the tranny cooler hose with a brass fitting in the picture was connected to the factory metal tranny cooler line on the top. I simply disconnected the metal tube from the rubber hose, used the supplied hardware with my B&M cooler, ran one side of the cooler to the metal factory tube, and connected the other side of the cooler to the factory rubber hose coming from the top of the cooler.

I really can't explain it any better than that, so if this doesn't help I guess you're just gonna have to get under the car and have a look, and take the picture I posted. It will be easy enough when you see it.

You're going to have to cut the metal line and use rubber hose and clamps to splice the cooler into the line.

ok so let me just put this in order of fluid flow...

steel "IN" line to radiator - to - rubber hose to tranny cooler - to - rubber hose to radiator IN nozzle out of radiator.... to the steel return line

right?

Wouldn't it be better to connect the oil cooler to the out line of the radiator, then thru the cooler , then back to the trans. It seems to me the oil in the cooler is going to be not as warm as the rad. So if you run it back into the rad, it is not as effective. I don't have one on my car, but remember doing it that way with another.

I'm really not sure of how the fluid flows through the factory stuff.

I would think the bottom line is the out, but not absolute on that.
