That would be my guess too. But there are so many things about these cars that I thought I knew....... and didn't

I don't think it really matters........ I picked the easiest line for me to splice into and used it.

Directional filter? Where'd you get that from?

Edit: if you want to know which is the return line you could take that line loose, start the car and see which side fluid squirts out of, the one that doesn't squirt will be the return line

Top line is return line
Take top line (return line) off of radiator, cut crimped rubber crap off with tubing cutter, replace top line which will now be shorter, you will then hook up your top line on the cooler to the top line on the radiator, bottom cooler line hooks up to only open line you have left, which the rubber hose you cut off is hooked too with a clamp.

This is so damn simple.
Top hose from radiator into cooler, bottom cooler hose into the hard line that was hooked to the top radiator line.

I have not addressed tranny fluid flow with anyone in some time. If you can show me a post where I told you wrong, Iwill admit that I gave you the wrong info. If I am unsure, I usually look it up in some reference. My goal is to provide correct info and I want to know if I am not doing that.

I do agree that the top line is the return line.

Damn, you started a novel here...lets hope you never have to install headlight covers. Seriously though, is it that complex of a procedure? It seems just fabbing up some lines would be best. Reliable and the finished install looks good to, no? Am i wrong?
