Ok to bleed brakes with ABS light on?

Both my ABS and TC lights are on and have been for a while(long 12 bolt story). Anyway in the manual it says not bleed if both or either of these lights are on. Its to late, I have to bleed the system no matter what. Im just wondering what problems I might run into if this is the case and why.

If you're driving around now with those two lights on, your ABS and TC don't work anyway. Bleeding the brakes won't change that! And you definately don't want air in the lines, ABS/TC or no ABS/TC! I wonder why they say that?

I think it has something to do with bleeding the ABS block itself. I know some people like to bleed the ABS before and after all the calipers, but then some dont touch it all?
