Exactly, it is not "studies" it is fellow enthusiasts sending out used oil samaples to have the wear metal content analysed and then sharing that info on boards like the bobistheoilguy forum. Everyone wants dyno or track data for engine parts well this is the measuable info on how an oil works.

 

i put the 0w-30 oil in and actually noticed a slight INcrease in oil pressure im happy about that and havea roughly 20 per 1k rpm now

 

German Castrol 0w-30 Synthetic year round here Do a search on it, very low wear numbers in a LT1 with it and it is supposed to be closer to a 40 weight.
