Oil Temp Gauge, Where do I put it?

Ok I have an oil temp gauge that I really want to put in since it's been sitten around for almost a year, but the question is where do I put the sensor? Is it the same size as the oil drain plug? Is there a provision in the block somewhere?

I drilled and tapped the oil drain plug to mount the oil temp sensor. Put a "connector" in the wire, so it can be unplugged to drain the oil.

Right above your oil filter is a good spot:

There's a plug there already (1/4" NPT IIRC).
