Oil Pump Pick Up Fell Off

Question Oil Pump Pick Up Fell Off

How hard to pull stock oil pan while motor is still in car? The pick up fell off and I really dont feel like pulling the motor agin, right now.

You can do it from the bottom. You will have to jack the motor up a couple inches to wiggle the pan off. When replacing the pump think about one with a bolt on pickup or one of the pickup retainer clips summitt and all of them sell.

ya i was gonna tack it this time, i only pressed it in the first time. So it was my fault. I was just wondering how much of a P.I.A. it was.

IMO welding on an oil pump is not really a good thing. Unless it is disasembled and TIG spot welded. Better to buy a bolt on and not take a chance. Just my 2 pennies

Weld the "pick Up screen". That way it would stay this time
