do any of you know if the LT1 oil pump drive housing was ever made from metal?

I know the 93-94 ones are plastic, but never worked on the rest, i am going to build a 93 LT1 383 to put in my 89 IROC and would like to use a metal oil pump drive if one is avalible

I'm pretty sure the oil pump drive shaft is powdered metal. I dont know about the rest.
