You could use a wide flat washer, (something out of your junk drawer). The wide flat washer is custome made, out of billet stamped steel, very high performance and is reusable.

The LT1 engine saver was only a piece of flat stock. I bought one. Make your own just trace the stock oil pump drive cut it out drill the mounting hole and get a longer bolt

If an aftermarket company made a steel repalcement they would probably make a killing. Such a simple part yet good insurance. Cant see people doing swaps not buying a steel repalcement.

Sure, You have my name don't you? I didn't sign my post? I though I signed every post. You can google search Karl Ellwein and Boom there I am.

So heatmaker, you don't think it will work? Give it a try. If it works send me $5000 bucks or whatever you motor is worth.

Are you serious? They make a steel distributor drive? If so everyone of us in this thread is an idiot, because none of us had any idea they were made. Im calling autozone now...

Well they said they can order an oil pump drive gear assy for $97, but they could not tell me if it was plastic or steel.
