Ok sounds weird right? Well this all started with a stroker in mind. Well i had the engine built under warranty before i knew much about cams. I put a freakin HOTCAM in a 383. I know I know its small. Well during the 3rd warm up session once the motor was installed it lost all oil pressure. Well it turns out the link that runs the oil pump off the cam chewed up the cam gear. Well the motor was shut down right away and i had the motor broken down today. Turns out all is good with everything other than the cam which is a lucky draw for me. Well since it blew the oil pump i get a certain ammount of money to fix it.....And it turns out to be enough for all the required oil pump purchases and labor AND the shop has agreed to hook me up with a CC306 for free beacuse of the delay! Yea im freakin happy! Well all the MODS are in my sig but scratch the HOTCAM and ADD a CC306. Now what could i expect HP wise with this different cam? People said i would be lucky to get 360 RWHP with the HOTCAM and about 400 Hp at the crank. Now what could i expect? By the way i am getting it dyno tuned. Thanks for any replys

Ya need head's dude.Big heads=AFR 227 FULL PORTED OR LARGER.

 

Hey well its gotta be better than the hotcam. If i had money to feed tons of gas to it and buy the thousands of dollars in heads and headders then i would, but for being 16 i think it will scoot pretty good.
