Which oil pressure sensor for my 94 vert?

I'm getting very low oil pressure readings so I'm gonna try replacing the oil pressure sensor. I noticed there are 2 models for the 94 camaros. I know my sensor is in the same location as in the 95-97 cars, so is my late 94 the identical part? If so, maybe I'll just ask for a 95 sensor to prevent confusion.

Rather than repost myself, see here:

The pertinent part being that *my* local parts store, had 2 stock numbers. NEITHER were correct. Take the time to study the end of the wire connection to tell you what shape you want -heck pull it off in the parking lot and take it in with you. Just be sure to have the proper tool to get it off.

Yes, if your sensor is on the back of the block and not by the oil filter, it is the same sensor used by 1995 and later (GM PART # 10201491). The change of location was made in mid-year 1994, so 1994's might have the sensor in either place.

I bought a sensor at NAPA for my 1995 and had no problem with it.

Here's a good one. My motor is in pieces, is there anyway to find out which one I had? Is there anyway to look at the rear of the intake to see if I had the newer one? Thanks!

You could look at the oil pressure sensor and see what part # is on it.

Or, if you had a "late" 94, the oil sensor was screwed into the block, behind the intake, not into the intake. Look and see if the block has a plug in that location. Then look at the spot right above the oil filter mount and see if there is a plug in that location (actually, there are two holes and two plugs). Unless you stripped the block of all the plugs, that should tell you where the sensor was mounted.

I know this is an old thread but when we were priming my motor the other day (still on stand) I noticed I have both places for the oil pressure sensor. There is a place in the top behind the intake we had to block off and above the oil filter as well. I'm pretty sure my sensor was by the filter but did all the motor have BOTH ports?

So then the top hole probably should have some kind of plug in it then?
