oil pressure sensor

ok...my oil pressure gauge does not show a reading when the car is turned on...so im assuming one of 2 things. Either the gauge in my 93 Z is bad...or the sensor is bad. Im willing to bet its probly the sensor seeing how all the other guages are all correct. However i do not know. Anyone have any input on on this? Also...if i were to go buy the oil pressure sensor, are there certain ones that are good for the LT-1 cars ( 1993 is my year ) and how much do they cost? thanks

Cory

Could be the sensor or the wire to it has gotten grounded out. Your sensor is just above the oil filter on the side of the block (1993 only). Pull off the connector and turn the key to ON. You should get a high reading on the gauge. If so, then your wire is ok and you need to replace the sensor. Not much to it. Just get one from your local auto supply. It will probably be in the $15-$20 range.
