oil pressure or sending unite (autometer)

OKay I just got my 383 LT1 going. it was in my friends 97 TA now in my 87 iroc.

It has a moroso pan (7 or 8 quart i think) Moroso HV pump.
Stock Fram CP30 senthetic filter (maybe try a new or differnt filter???)
I cant put a filter on much bigger tho bc the pan dishes out.

I put 15W-40 royal purple in.

NOW I had the car driving around open header etc when i first got it in and the oil pressure was reading good.

60-70ish COLD startup (0 degrees out)
Warm around 40ish I think,
Went driving around it would climb and climb like the pressure should.

NOW today I took the car to get my Y pipe made. and while driving i notice my gauge sits around 30ish and doesnt move at all? I stop and idle and maybe goes down to 25ish Hot (maybe 9 degrees out)

I drive it around all day today and it doesnt move under WOT or just tagging the gas.

Could this be the autometer sending unit maybe?? I put the gauge in place of the stock sending unit.

I currently have 7 quarts of 15W-40 royal purple in and it reads just over the hashes on the dip stick.

Any suggestions? It runs strong and hard also

I may try hooking up my oil mechanical gauge to see if its the sender.

Thanks for any input!!

PS the car goes like hell should be running 11.80s or so N/A and high 10s on spray

All fixed now.....It ended up being the oil filter!! I guess I am gonna look into a reloctation kit and start running a FRAM RACE SERIES filter.
