Oil pressure normal operating range?

Will im searching for my other problem i realise that my oil pressure is really high on my gauge(stock one).

When i start it,i get around 412 wich is excatly in the middle between the 275mark and the 550 mark

When it get worm the oil pressure would stay around 275 right in the middle of the gauge.

My last motor never reach those number.

Right now im running some 5w30 castrol mineral oil for my break in.I also got a new sending unit.

Is it good or bad ?

Oil pressure on a stock one should be between 0-50PSI.
On a built engine it is whatever ya set it at but NOT 275PSI.

How the hell could the stock gauge be in psi.Normal people got around 60 psi when its cold and around 20psi when its hot.

If the stock gauge is in psi i would have over 275 psi off oil pressure in my motor...That doesnt make sens

I would say your goood then....about half way. seems o.k.

maybe find a conversion chart......rule of thumb is 10 psi per thousand rpm's

6000 rpm= 60psi

hope that helps, Good day canadian

Yeah i just found a pictures of a US cluster and yours are already graduate in psi, lucky for you : (start)0-(middle)40-(end)80

So mine is in KPA.

10 KPA = 1.4503773773020922 PSI

So when cold my 412 KPA = 59.7555479448462 PSI
And when hot my 275KPA = 39.885377875807535 PSI

So my car is perfect.

Thank you for you help

PSI = 0.145038 X kPa

Looks like he's good

412kPa is 59.755656
275kPa is 39.88545
