Oil pressure falls at higher rpm.
Re: Oil pressure falls at higher rpm.
You may want to invest in an aftermarket oil pan. One that has a built in windage tray. Canton comes to mind. If i recall correctly they have a windage tray and i think also a crank scraper (a windage tray at the very least). Its a high capacity unit as well that holds more oil then the stock on which can sometimes compliment built motors that see a lot of time in the upper rpm range.

Yeah but YOUR problem is that you have absolutely no windage tray in there..... you really think GM would waste the couple of cents per motor to put something it in that didn't need to be there. Your problem is becuase you don't have some sort of windage tray.... you need to fix that unless you don't mind replacing bearings and rebuilding the motor.

This kind of statement always get's me as most that make the statement's have never seen the inside and presume it is just like it is out of the box.
If out of the box "stock" would work people would not be having all the trouble with oil pressure and rebuilding the engine after a few miles.
