Oil pan options for LT1

I've seen on this board that Canton pans especially the 244t 3rd gen pans are notorious for leaking. Are there any other alternatives for a street/strip car?
Does Moroso or Milodon have anything for our cars?

I just got rid of a Canton 242T and replaced with the Milodon pan.
The Canton was destroyed by the shop that started doing my 396 and after many months I just went with the Milodon.
The Canton wouldn't clear my headers on the car AND it was impossible to change the oil filter.

No such issues with the Milodon.

i agree the milodon is the way to go. good clearance over the k-member. nice header clearance. just make sure that you get the right pickup and oil pump.

Milodon pan

I assume this pan will only fit if you have long tube headers?

I currently have the 1 3/4" AS&M headers and I'm sure the drivers side header won't clear the oilpan.

Wow, it's even priced cheaper than the Canton pan. Does it have all the internal baffles and whatnot as well?

Just FYI, Flatlander Racing has the Milodon pan at $209 and Jegs will price match.
If that doesn't beat the Canton I don't know what does.

The most powerful LT1 engine I ever personally saw (1,125 flywheel HP on a blown 383) used a stock pan, stock pump and an 80psi spring. Never having had an original idea in my life, I copied the same setup on my lowly 800HP nitrous LT1. Its been running for 4 years with no problems.

Unfortunately the stock pan would not clear my 396 - Eagle H beam rods with L19 rod bolts and 3.875 stroke.

That's great, but the link listed above from Summit lists the pan for $153 and some change.

Sorry, I used the Milodon 30909 which is $256+ at Jegs and Summit racing.

What's the difference between the two pans? Besides the obvious price difference.
