Is your pan straight?

1) Use Felpro onme piece gasket.
2) pan must be straight.
3) seal end adapters must be clean, no old garbage in the grooves.
4) use a dab of silicone in each cornerwhere the curved part meets the block.

(Leak may also be at the front cover, any of the 3 front cover seals, or the rear main... and may also be where the adapters bolt to the block.

Put a SBC cork gasket on it. That seems to let it pull down in the corners and seal, without the spacers in the gasket. Put white lube on the end rubbers so they will slip as the pan is pulled down.
If ya are using an aftermarket pan this will work too.

Larry where do you get the SBC cork gasket, I plan on using one since I have seen you have had great success with them . Do you happen to have a Part Number as well???
VRE set me up with a Milidon pan (Nice peice IMO)

As was said just go to the parts store and get one for any 70's-90's SBC and that will do.
Some have 4 rubber end pieces of different length so use the correct ones.

Re: Oil Pan Gasket...Stop It From Leaking?

I think the WP drive and opti seals are the only ones I have ever had leak.

I have reused the stock and Felpro oilpan gaskets with no problem, have always reused the valvecover gaskets etc. If yours is a leaker then either parts are bent or you are doing something wrong.
