Is it oil in my trottle body?

I just changed my intake elbow tonight and while doing so i noticed some oil like residue in the bore and around the plates. Not alot and not sure its oil. The car runs great no problems at all that are showing themselves anyways. The oil is always in good shape, its not consuming any. Any info on this thanks guys.

best thing to do is buy some tb cleaner, and clean it really good, then on a later date see what you find, change your pvc valve to while your at it, could be blocked or shot

This is "blow-by" from the line that runs from the valve cover to the TB and is normal. Just use the spray as mentioned above about every six months or so depending on your driving habits to clean it, also next time your "elbow" is off, open the "butterflys" and spray into the manifold also.
