Arrow Oil Leak from Water Pump Driveshaft

Has anyone experienced this or anything similar? Small amount of oil has been leaking from the water pump driveshaft, seal was replaced and it still seems to be leaking a little bit. I have a 97 SS, stock.

Are you sure the seal was installed correctly?

All I could find so far was the paper GM gasket and it still has some play in it. Thanks for the link. I will read through it and give it another shot.

Looks like I don't have the right tool that was pictured in that Impala thread so the seal is rolling over after its in. $60 bucks for it.

You can use the marker cap or anything that is it's size (like a socket) no need to buy the tool.

Thats the next step. If anything, we will just ruin a 2 dollar seal if it doesnt work.

I installed 3 on my car. I thought I was just messing up the seal putting it on, but my WP drive actually had a groove worn into it and I had to replace it. Then the leak went away.
