hey guys was just lookin under my car and found some oil right infront of my rear tire (between where my subframes hook up and the driveshaft) so felt under there and got oil on my fingers. anyone else had this problem and where is it coming from? thanks!

 

well guys i think i found where its comin from but don't really know how to stop it. it is right where i described but there is a little nipple there that drips out oil, almost looks like a tire valve. please help me so i can know what to do to stop it. thanks!

 

WTF? are you absolutly positive that its oil leaking from there?

i was thinkin that it might just be some blow-by that pools in one spot and drips. i cant think of any reason for there to be any kind of oil passage that far back. ive also spent countless hours under my car and ive never seen anything that resembles a tire valve.

hope you figure it out, im heading to my garage now to look at my car just to be sure.

 

Gonna need a pic. Unless you have some suspension parts with zerk fittings for greasing or your pinion seal is slinging oil, I don't know what it could be.

 

its right beside about three(maybe 4) metal lines(fuel?) right on the pan of the car. idk why its comin from there or what it is either.

 

i don't have a digital camera now but my girlfriend does. so tomorrow evening when i get off of work i'll take some and post them. thanks for all your help!

Yea no kidding, that sounds like a pinion seal leak or maybe his bleeder screw on his brakes is loose. Probably black from all th dirt.

ok guys i went out there and looked again. this valve(or whatever it is) is like right behind the driver seat(sorry about the post saying in front of the rear wheel ). less then a foot away from the end of my mufflex y-pipe. maybe its nothin at all
