Exclamation OIL LEAK, need help!!

IM leaking oil. It is deffentally from the passenger side of the motor. Ive checked the intake manifold and it seems ok, but is by no means rulled out as an option.

After a 30 min drive i could hear something, im going to assume it was oil, hitting something hot, probably the y-pipe.

Im thinking maybe valve cover(crossing fingers), anybody have any other options.

Thanks.

Car has 46,xxx miles, oil is redline 10-w30

check the intake, pan gasket, rear main seal, stick your hand in the back of the intake and feel for oil, one thing you have to do is clean your engine and underneath and try to see where its coming from, just watch out for the opti when cleaning your motor, and try doing a search, lots of good information out there for oil leaks

It's very unlikey your rear main is leaking unless it has been disturbed before. You would have to drop the tranny to check it.

As far as i know the rear main has never been touched, but ive only had the car for a year, so i cant say for certain. I figgured i would have to drop the tranny to check. But the more i think about it, the less likely it seems that it could be the rear main, do soley to the fact i heard oil hitting the exhaust system last night.

Im going to check things again, but i have a feeling its actually the manifold.

Did you just change your oil? You may have two gaskets on your oil filter.
