oil leak

i got an oil leak out of the little sensor on the drivers side of the oil pan. is that a common thing and is thier an easy fix. i havn't taken it out yet and was just wondering if i had to replace the whole sensor or just a gasket? any idea of what im talking about?

I had a leak in the exact same place.

I went to the dealership and told them what was leaking, and it seemed as if I could just replace the o-ring washer seal thingy and be done with it, but of course I had to break the whole sensor pulling the thing out. That was a $50 mistake.

The problem I had though was the stupid cat that was right in front of it, so I had to pull it out at an angle. I don't know about the 95's, but I don't think they have a cat there, so it shouldn't be a problem.

But yeah, just go to the dealership and see if they have a seal for the sensor (I think it is the low oil sensor), and hopefully you won't have to buy a whole new unit

Exactly the same problem here and I had to buy a new sensor.

I'm still wondering is this low oil sensor operational on our cars, because I drove for a while wires not connected and didn't get check gauges or any other warning light ?

Cost me $26 for a oil pressure sending unit... you'll need a special socket to remove and install it. Sounds expensive at first
