Question Oil in intake

the last time i was on the dyno when we let of the gas at the end of the pull i would have a puff of blue smoke ? so put the car away and i just took the intake off to do some work , tb is all black ,intake is all black and head intake side is black from oil. Now the P/S of the car the air tube from the v cover to the tb has oil in it Am i sucking up oil under load, should i put a pcvale in there or go to a air breather or somthing.

I am lost to why i am sucking in oil at the intake

anyone any input woulds be great
thx

A couple of possibilities... 1) the PCV valve is plugged and not clearing the crankcase, or 2) you have excessive blowby on the rings and there is more vapor in the crankcase than the PCV system can handle. Either of these will cause the flow in the vent line to reverse. It is supposed to supply air from a port in front of the TB blades to the passenger side valve cover. But if the PCV system can't handle the load, the pressure will relieve out that line, and usually carry oil droplets into the line, into the top of the TB (check under the cover plate) and into the inlet air stream.
