I have a 95 impala SS with a 94z28 LT1. With my flp long tube headers I cannot fit a oil filter in the stock location. I bought an oil filter relocation kit and the lines are running to the new filter location are still way to close to the header collector.
I think this may work but I need opinions. I want to take my stock z28 oil filter adaptor off(i do not use the anitfreeze coolant lines anyway) and run a regular sbc adaptor or some other that doesn't hang down so far. I think I could get a filter up there if the adaptor was more snug to the block.

Also, do I need to buy an adapter that has the bypasses in it? Or can I use one like the one below?

Someone else actually told me I can run my filter right up against the block, can I?

I really need to get this project buttoned up.
