Oil filter adapter question

When bolting the oil filter adapter to the engine block, is there a required gasket? The guy at the parts counter cannot find one. Just wanted to make sure before I put it back on.

There is a gasket under there. No idea on the PN. GM dealer might know.

Re: Oil filter adapter question

When I bought a new oilpan gasket it came with the adapter gasket, maybe they can see what is included in the oilpan gasket set and get individual parts.

Re: Oil filter adapter question

No gasket between the adaptor and the block. In the older Chevy's with the metal can housing there was a rubber quad ring to seal the can but no gasket.
