oil filter adapter gasket?
oil filter adapter gasket?
I got my engine back from the machine shop and they gave me a box of left over gaskets. I have no idea what they are.

Also on the adapter that bolts on to the block for the oil filter... is there suppose to be a gasket in between the adapter and block?

No gasket is used between the oil filter fixture and the block. I double-checked that with the GM parts manual during my rebuild.
The large o-ring (round material) gasket is for the water pump cover. Not sure about the other, looks like it came off an oil filter.

Some LT1's had an oil cooler from the factory, thats what those O'rings are for. It was between the block and the oil filter, and took the place of the standard adapter. If you didn't have the OEM oil cooler, or if you simply don't plan to use it if so equipped, then you won't need those.
