i was twisting my oil cap to open and the whole oil filler came off as well. i put just the cap back on the valve cover and it tightened fine. nothing broke but my question is does this hurt anything and can i leave it like that? i'm abt to head outta town and wanted to know if there any pieces that were holding the neck in or am i ok because i dont want anything going down in the engine. sounds dumb but hey i was kind of tired of that neck deal anyways so any words on that would be cool.

The neck is just an extension to make it easier to fill. It and the cap screw on, so removing the neck will not harm anything.
