Ok so i am in the process of pulling my oil pan and changing out the oil pressure spring (real fun.) and I just removed my oil cooler. Its the crappy 95+ version so i am planning on deleting it.

Anyway I have read a bunch of threads here that talk about a screen inside getting clogged up. I took the entire unit off and I dont see a screen anywhere The filter mounting bolt just goes straight through. Am I not looking in the right place or did a previous owner delete the screen?

I am just curious, this is not critical.
