Oil cooler line help

I just put motor back in and headers on, but forgot to put oil cooler line in first. Now I cant get it to fit. Can I cut it in half, install it and then use clamps and hose to seal it back together??? I hope so

Not enough info to know what you are specifically referring to.

Re: Oil cooler line help

Do you mean you left the tranny cooler line disconnected from the tranny? Why would you need to cut it in half to connect it...is it laying underneath the k-member or something?

He's talking about the oil cooler.

There should be room enough to slide the lines up in there. I'm assuming you're talking about the hard lines that run alongside the oil pan. If for some reason you can't get them up in there I guess cutting/clamping would work, but tightening the clamps should be fun.

My bad, i read that too fast and thought you were talking about tranny cooler lines. ACtually, i did the same thing you did, i put my engine in and forgot about the engine oil cooler lines. They should slide in without too much trouble.

Yeah its the oil cooler line. I tried and it wont slide in, must be my headers. Anyway I think I'll just try to cut and clamp. Hopefully it will go in then. Thanks Nice to see I'm not only guy out there who has forgotten something simple during an engine install.

I didn't forget. I meant to put them on after we sat the motor down in.

Now that I think about it my exhaust wasn't on at this time.
