oil cooler leaking

Is it possible to check an oil cooler for leaks..... I ask because I have been getting a massive amount of coolant flowing into the oil after my camswap. I was twisting and turning the metal hoses to the cooler to get to the oil pan bolts, I figured I may have damaged something inside. How do you get the cooler off? Thanks

take the oil filter off and pressure test the cooling system, if it leaks you should see the coolant drip

When you get the cooler off, I'd leave it off. JMHO.

So can I just take it off? Will the oil filter just screw in where the oil cooler used to be?
