Exclamation OH MY GOD: Just did tons of LT4 mods, fired it up, lost OIL PRESSURE? and died...HELP

SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT PLEASE...

Just did a bunch of mods, my 1994 LT4 Z28 fired up, idled fine for 10-15 minutes including stops and restarts....backed out of my driveway, drove 200 yards and she died. Hasn't started since. I don't recall if I lost oil pressure AND then died...or if I'm just not registering any oil pressure NOW (which it may not register yet by just turning the key over). Just happened and I haven't checked the vitals yet (spark, etc...) as it's at the bottom of a hill in the dark. Car ran perfect before the mods.

Previous Mods: Longtubes + Exhaust, K&N Intake, LT4 Cam kit, Retune...

NEW: Added MSD Blaster Coil, 9mm Mallory wires kept old plugs they were fine, LT4 intake manifold, twin 58mm Throttle Body, kept oem injectors, changed all fluids belts filters etc..., brake kit, changed from some ****ty Chevron oil to a Mobil 1 5W30 Synthetic,...? Thats it I think but I talked to the guy who tuned the car and he said none of these mods should affect the tune on the car so...?

HELP.

Well, there is a start! Solved your own problem! Check the vitals and post what you have found. Good luck and sorry to hear that.

You did a LT4 intake manifold without the LT4 heads? I dont think the LT4 manifold line up perfect with the LT1 heads?

Mobil 1 is going to be quite a bit thinner than your previous oil. Drain the oil and look at it and if it looks good button it back up. then check for fuel pressure and spark.

Wait... What? Since when does the LT4 setup spin to 7500, let alone 75000?

Won't bolt up correctly. There is an interference between the top of the LT4 intake manifold runners and the LT1 head valve cover rail. They can be machined to fit. The LT4 intake manifold port shape is no different than the LT1 head port shape. Only the LT4 heads have the 0.10" taller ports. The LT4 intake mismatches the LT4 heads in that respect.

Let me clarify...

So it has the full LT4 hot cam kit, no head work, and what I did was added an LT1 manifold that had been cleaned, machined, and ported to fit a bigger TB as well as painted red. NOT AN LT4 manifold.

I JUST GOT THIS CAR AND AM STILL FINDING OUT ABOUT IT...

BUT - there is a chance something got down into the plennums while the manifold was off, turns out the guy I bought the car from did all this work, and then put Chevron 10W30 oil in it at like 1.99/qt. JESUS. The mobil 1 is a 5/30 full synthetic and when i drained it, it looked fine but had sort of a milky-way of really really fine metal shavings.

Also, the plugs are fouled. At the last attempt to crank I think it fired on the intake stroke or something and burped a cloud of smoke out through the air filter???

He's talking about mileage. Granted I know multiple cars with hotcam or bigger cams with over 100k... a few close to 200k.

Basically he spun it to high or did a bad install and is blaming the cam.

My car received the lt4 kit at like 130k and has 185k now, but it ran extremely well before it went into the garage for the modifications

The smoke is from flooding the motor. I've done it many times to my camaro's. Hold the butterflies open on the tb for a few mins, Replace the plugs (i recomend the NKG iridium tr55's), make sure u have spark and fuel. then try starting it back up again. if the opti is on right it wont fire on intake.
