I recently had new head gaskets put on my car along with new valve springs and now my car runs terrible off idle and smells very rich. The valve's are ticking, so I am haivng the shop re-adjust them and look into the stumble/rich condition. I just want to get an idea of what could be causing this problem?

 

Just finshed head gasket repair this weekend, engine is quiet but not running properly so I feel your pain. Going to adjust the rockers with engine running and hopefully fix the problem.

 

Could they have got coolant on my opti when they pulled teh water pump to get the heads off? This is what I am really afraid of.

 

Water pump does not have to be removed to get heads off.
