OEM Coil or aftermarket ign coil?

I have a high rpm miss right before it shifts, probably around 5400rpm.

I'm going to go ahead and change the coil, should i get an aftermarket one or just an OEM one?

I"d honestly go OEM as the aftermarket ones available don't have a real good track record for reliability.

I'll be replacing my coil soon and I'm going OEM. Some guys have posted problems with aftermarket coils. There is no benefit from a more powerful coil or at least any proof. OEM is more than adequate.

I have a Holley one on mine and it works fine. BTW, are you sure the opti isn't causing your miss?

I doubt the coil is your high rpm miss, I f your gonna replace it get an OEM, If your running stock valve train you could be getting some valve float ( Weak Springs). I had the same problem for quite a while and replaced MSD Box,Opti, Plugs, wires, coil, ignition module etc. Turned out to be valve float due to weak stock springs.
