Odd Ticking Noise From Passenger Side...
Hey all..
I just purchased another T/A w/ 115,000 on the clock. Seems to be a fairly well kept car. Just needs a little TLC.
The problem I am dealing with right now is a ticking noise that you could SWEAR was an exhaust leak coming from what seems to be the passenger side of the vehicle under the hood.
The weird thing about it is that it only does it when Idling in Park.. Put it into gear with your foot on the brake it stops. Also, you can hear it doing it when you are going slow sometimes such as through a parking lot or something.
The car also seems like it may need a tune up.. Its going into the shop tommorow for this.
What are the major causes of a hard start when hot or cold.. Doesn't matter.. Usually after the car has sat for maybe an hour or so. Doesn't do it every time either.
Any help you guys can provide would be excellent!

Because you car as an auto, I can't tell you how to recreate high load, but I had similar ticking when I put my M6 under high load (more than 50% throttle in 4th gear at 1200 RPM).
The solution might be as simple as checking and tightening your manifold bolts.
