odd question/.. how do you guys start your cars?

I used to have a car like that.

I also had one that I had to bang the battery. And another one that I had to bang the starter solenoid which was located by the battery on that particular car. I believe is was an old cherokee.

any idea on how much one of these should cost...maybe a part number also?

also... are they hard to replace?

mine cost $50 through advance auto parts. They're real easy to replace, no more than 5 min.

Here's the part for yours:
