do you turn the key to the start position instantly or do you turn it to on, then wait for the fuel pump to stop doings its thing then start it?

Hmmm, I wonder if it really matters? Heh, my friend always waits for his to stop whining, and he always yells at me because I just crank it.

seeing how my car is acting up and i have no idea as to why....just replaced the battery and clutch switch but yea...i turn it to the on position around 3 times and then turn it over ... sometimes it starts right up...others it will sit at 500 RPM's till i give it gas and then reve up to 1500 RPM's and then slowly drop to 1K.....any ideas?

 

my 92 did that, and it was the idle air control valve.

I just crank.

 

From my house, nothing like getting into a warm car and not have to wait for it to heat up in the mornings.

 

Seeing how I have multiple fuel pumps, I usually wait for them to prime and stop whining.
