Odd LT4 intake question

Anyone ever get the red kryptonite paint off the intake? Have tried paint stripper, sanding, and oven cleaner....

I believe it's powdercoated You can take it to shops that do powdercoating and they can dip it in some chemical that can strip off the powdercoat. They can then powdercoat it whatever new color you want. Good luck.

You can go to Home Depot and get some paint stripper, comes in an can (brush on) or aerosol (spray). Put some on the intake, let it sit for about an hour, then start scraping it off. You will have to do this like 3 or 4 times, as I did. For the final cleanup, I took it to my friends shop and bead blasted it. Oh, and before you even start, remove all of the fittings, oil splash pan, and most importantly the casting plugs! After all of that, either take it to your local machine shop and have them run it through their jet was a few times, or use LOTS of soap and warm water, and a hose to get it squeaky clean. Then its ready for powder coat, or paint.
