obd2..how can I pass emmissions with egr/air deleted?

Im in ct. I just got the PTK headers and I see they dont have the EGR provisions which means I have to block it off the back of the intake. I already deleted the AIR pump and rear o2s when I did my heads/cam but I can easily re enable the rear o2s when i get the "base tune" to break in the motor. Is it still possible to pass emmissions with those two deleted? I know you can have 2 not readys...but I dont know if there was a specific one.-Mark

If all they do is plug your car in and dont do a visual inspection then you can with just about anything done to your car. You will need to get your computer programmed, if not going with someone local i would highly recomend madz28 mail order tune. (one of the sponsers here)

he already tuned the first setup. i am going to get a mail order tune to "break the engine in" and get it through emissions before i put the turbo on the car.

Then pm or email him and ask if the EGR codes where turned off.

I beleave the codes are not set to a "not ready" but turned off completely. and the tester will read them as not used so you would pass.

If you have the rear 02s, EGR, and AIR all disabled via the PCM, then you are going to throw 3 "not ready" status codes and you will not pass then. In the state of IL, we are only allowed 2 as well. My best advice would be to just leave the AIR and EGR disabled through the PCM and purchase a pair of 02 simulators from Thunder Racing, Jegs, or whoever. Have the rear 02 codes reactivated in your PCM and just plug the 02 sims into the rear 02 sensor connectors. These simulators will just simply give your PCM a dummy signal and fool it into thinking that you have functional catalysts on your car. After all this, then you should just post 2 "not ready" codes, one for the EGR, and the other for the AIR system.

Bryan at PCMforLess says he can delete things but make them still appear as ready. Ive been told he could make a car without an engine pass inpsections. Might email him and ask.

I read that they used to not be able to program the readiness monitors? What, did they finally crack the computer? Anyone know if theres any truth? Can lt1 obdII pass with just a tune now? If so, thats awesome!

I ran into the same problem in IL. Here's how I made it:
