OBD I PCM not closing relay????

hey all,

on my RX7, the guy I bought it from wired the relay up very simply from the PCM. One day just went out and the fuel pump would not run when the ignition is on.

My question is this: could there be an issue with the PCM not putting out enough energy to close the NEW relay?

relay: confirmed good by hooking directly to 12V source.

wiring: Confirmed good, same ohm reading at relay as through the 10 ft of wiring.

pump: Confirmed good, wire directly to 12 source and it runs.

PCM: Confirmed good by installing on my Hawk and hearing the fuel pump run.

Just wondering if maybe the old relay was bad but the new relay just can't be closed because a standar "off the shelf" relay is not the right one.

Thanks,
Ben

Did not check relay ground. However, that has not changed since it worked correctly but I will check.

Have not checked while installed if I hear it click. Will do that next.

How do I check that constant power to relay is good?
