O2's - Heated or not

My 93 Z has single wire O2's. What are the advantages of having heated O2's with headers and a Y pipe. I have longtubes and the O2 bungs were welded into the Y pipe instead of the headers. With the O2's so far away from there stock position will i need the heated O2 sensors just to compensate for the distance.

Re: O2's - Heated or not

Heated O2s would probably be more reliable in that location. Here is how you can wire them.
