O2 sensors
Grab a scan tool and take the car for a drive. Check out the O2 sensor values, they should jump over and under 450 mv frequently. These are called "crosscounts". If the sensors are good, you'll have frequent changes and many crosscounts.
If the sensors are 35-40,000 miles or older, you should replace them anyway.
