O2 Sensor From Hell!

I ran a datamaster file on the car saw that the Left O2 sensor was bad (stuck at 1097mv). I tried both O2 sensor removal tools from oreileys a 1/2 breaker bar used and no budge, sprayed with PB blaster, hit witch a torch. To me seems like the O2 sockets due to the slots for the wires seem to give and the sensor isn't budgin. I'm at a loss of words at how stuck it is. What can I do to remove it?? Figured my mechanic would know, but I don't..help please, thanks everyone.

Did you run the engine to heat the exhaust system before you tried to loosen the sensor?

If you feel the O2 socket is not helping, cut the wire off, and use a high quality 6-point deep socket instead.

I didn't run the engine at all because I had changed the knock sensor, in turn the block and radiator was drained. So I just hit it with a little torch not those big blue or yellow bottle ones, the butane ones. How long should I let the engine run to get it ready for removal?? I've never seen anything this stuck.

I will also by a good half inch socket to get that sucker off! Thanks again Injuneer just wanna know how long I should run the Camaro.

The exhaust should heat up adequately in about 4 minutes.

Thanks again injuneer, I'm on the hunt for a deeper socket no luck just yet. If I don't find anything I'm gonna start it up and let it run for a little and give it another shot with the O2 sockets I have.

On another note I replaced the knock sensor (it was bad) and it gave life back to my car. I'm going to need to register my datamaster as well to log a run. Thanks so much for your help and everyone else as well.

So an update I found the socket at sears as well as some decently priced tool boxes on wheels

Brought that socket home stuck it over the already cut wires of the O2...let it run for a good 10 minutes and left it on because first attempt was no good. Second attempt was with engine still on and with the 1/2 breaker bar and new socket, finally started loose.

Thank you again Injuneer! Very affective way to remove a baked on O2 sensor!
