O2 sensor cause this much trouble??>

.. started week ago car would misfire randomly - scanned codes and geting lowvoltage on right O2 sensor... all of a sudden yesterday the car misfires constantly SES light and real rich... scanned it and again O2 Code... EGR code... Multiple cylinder misfire... and right side running rich...


i had installed headers month or so ago- and replaced plugs and wires 2 weeks ago...

u think a bad O2 sensor could cause this?

I've found that O2 can cause TONS of problems. I've had them cause bad hesitation, misfires, ses lights, etc.

Yeah I had my O2 do such things, but are you sure it isn't just in need of a tune after the header install? Lots of problems you are describing disappear after a tune.

ya - car ran perfect for good 3 weeks after having the headers... then this happened.... but def could use a tune...

That happened to me.....2 weeks after the headers, they both went bad.

You guys both just need a tune, the comp just needs time to adjust to mods you've made. Alittle time and everything should be fine. My car acted the same way then corrected itself. Although a tune is always best.

car is fixed- was o2 sensor- 55$ later car is running mint - thnx guys

thnx... comments like that make the money i blow seem justified - anyway car will have wingswest kit on come spring along with an SS spoiler and a prokit-

all parts are in my garage- but i have to bring the car to Rochester and it is my winter car- soooo wouldnt be practical to put on now
